Error: The process cannot access the file

Have a computer running ACT! 11 with Windows 7, without problems until after summer holiday.

When trying to open ACT! following error is shown.

------------------------

The process cannot access the file

'C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\ACT\ACT for Windows 11\DependentDlls.xml' because it is being used by another process.

---------------------

I have try uinstall and install again without any change. The computer has been running with ACT! 11 and Windows 7 for the last 2 month without problems.

I have try KB: 19061, but with no result!!

Any help?

Re: Error: The process cannot access the file

Two things to try:

First - try running Act! 'As Administrator'.  To do this: right click on Act! icon and select 'Run As Administrator'

Second - rename the file in the message (add '.old' to the end) then open Act!.  This file will be recreated when Act! is opened.
