Error Error in IMAPISession::GetMsgStoresTable: 0x800706BA

Hello everyone

A customer... following error message appears, additionally he has been having synchronization problems between his Act! database and Outlook after the last update

I've seen similar messages before, but let's dive directly into that error message.

 

0x800706BA Is usually attributed to a basic RPC Server Unavailable, and most commonly means ports are blocked between Act! and Outlook.  It can also mean a connection was made to the RPC server, but that specific command is unavailable.

 

Temporarily turn off all security, including UAC, and make sure Act! and Outlook are running within the same security context, and test again.  If it works, then you probably have a security policy or program that is blocking access.
