I recently updated from Hotfix 1 becuase of this problem, not sure if I originally updated hotfix 1 because of the error.
Anyway, when I go to opportunity and I click the Associate With |...| button the system locks.

Can you test this behavior in the Demo database (or a new/different database)?
Are you the only user of the database? If not, does anyone else experience the same issue?
