Hello I am having a printing problem with envelopes.
i am on a windows based Lenovo Lap Top and am using Sage Act Pro 2013
They print fine from word or if I am photocopying standalone from the printer, but when I print from Act the left margin cuts off the return address. I can move the return address farther to the right and it prints out however, it is disturbingly far to the right and looks unprofessional. Anyone else have this problem or have ideas for a fix? Thank you.

Does it preview correct from the ACT! program?
Does the page setup call for landscape printing or portrait?

The description you provided sounds like the actual printing is taking place in portrait mode rather than landscape. As a general rule if the print preview is correct and the actual printing wrong, the problem is with the printer driver. ACT! doesn't directly control the printer and the correct preview indicates the information was passed to Windows correctly. On the preview screen, check the page setup to see if the orientation is portrait or landscape.

Yes. You are likely using a generic Windows provided driver. I had a similar problem with my HP printer which included scanning capability. However I couldn't get the scanning function to work and Windows said I had the latest driver. I finally downloaded the specific driver package for the printer from HP and installed it and not have my scanner functionality.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I dealt with HP yesterday and they deleted and reinstalled my entire printer package. They tested everything and the printer is working flawlessly except when i try to print a return address on an envelope. They are saying this is an ACT issue and not an HP issue.
Thanks again for your help

I'm wondering if the printer doesn't have a native paper type for No. 10 envelope, that would make the printing default to 8.5 X 11 and likely portrait mode. I actually do most of the custom templates I do as 8.5 X 11 and use the margin setting to get the envelope to print properly. That avoids problems such as the lack of a native paper type.
