Email history will attach ONLY to default email address

Not sure why ACT! will only attach an email if the email itself is the
default email address.  For instance, if you have a personal email address
( and send Bob an email, the history will not be recorded.  If
Bob has a regular email (, there will be a history if
that email is used.  If we have the option to add email fields, why would we
limit the history attachment to only one?  PS -- The customer is royally
upset about this, because I got him to upgrade partially because of having
additional email fields.  Brenda

Hello Brenda,

I tested this is ACT! 2009 (11.1) and history is recording for secondary email addresses, both when initiating the email from ACT! (clicking the email address) and when sending from Outlook (using the address book). I tested with ACT! directly integrated with Outlook 2003.


What version/build of ACT! is the customer using and what is their email setup? If using ACT! 2009, have them check the Quick Attach progress screen in the system tray to see if the emails are under the Not Attached tab.
