On a previous message, someone had mentioned issues with Outlook integration and the recommendation was to delete the Act address book from Outlook (done) and then set up a new email system in Act.
OK, but the only one I see listed is the "Internet Mail" and I know that it's a generic and not the one that I actually use. I mostly use Gmail (that's another issue) and my ISP is Cox.net; but there is nothing listed to use and I have no idea of what STMP or POP3 are used.
Any help??
thanks

What version of Outlook do you have installed?
It sounds like Act! doesn't recognise the presence of Outlook on the system.
this might require removing and reinstalling Office

2013...and will look at re-booting and starting "over" to see if that helps. Right- doesn't seem to recognize it.

just check out this KBase article as well: http://kb.swiftpage.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/29499
Office 2013 is only officially compatible with Act! V16, and has limited functionality with Act! 2013 (V15).

Upgrade or purchase one of the Outlook integration addons.

OK, from MS or Sage?

one option you could consider is this addon from DesignR1: http://www.designr1.com/shop/office-2013-pack/
I have found that it has mixed results though with different users, so I would suggest downloading the trial first to make sure it will do what you need it to.

Thanks Jared,
I downloaded the program (in demo mode) and it does work to send out emails. However, the reason I was trying to manage my emails is that they were not being recorded in my history file. And yes, they are STILL not being recorded in my history file.
Any ideas how to "enable" that to happen???
thanks
Jeff
