Act has started crashing just about every time I click on the email button. System worked fine until a few days ago; nothing changed with my setup that I'm aware of.
I'm using Act Pro 2013 with Outlook 2013 in Windows 8. I am the single user of my PC-based database.
Sometimes, after I reboot the system, it will send an email or two ... and then crash. Sometimes it crashes on the first attempt. Doesn't matter if I reboot the entire system or not. No error message is given; I just crash.
Any suggestions?

A few questions:
- Do you have the latest build of Act! (see: <Help><About Act!>, updates are here: http://www.act.com/support/download-center/)
- Do you have updated Outlook to its latest version?
- Is the problem there if the virusscan is set off?
- If no result you can run Logviewer.exe from the Act! installation directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\ACT\Act for Windows) to have some more information.

I found that an update of Outlook had hung up, so I didn't have the most current version. I updated Outlook and that appears to have fixed the problem. Thanks for the tip!

I'm having the same problem here: Act! Pro Version 17.1.169.0, Hot Fix 1 trying to send emails through Outlook 2013 v. 15.04753.1003 on a Windows 8 Platform. It works fine if Outlook is not already open, but if outlook and ACT are open at the same time, ACT crashes. Also, recorded email history is sporadic at best. Any thoughts?
