Email - Act to Outlook - Encoding Issues

Help, 

I am having trouble with sending emails from act (2008 version 10) through outlook but only with a couple of characters (commas and long dashes) is there a patch or config change for this?

We'll have green light

 

Recieved as

Joe Example � 2012 Olympic Gold Medalist 

We�ll have green light

Hello Jody,

Welcome to the Sage ACT! Online Community!

 

While I haven't seen this specifically with ACT! emails, I believe it is usually an issue with how the coding is being translated.  Are you seeing this when you send an email to yourself?  Do all recipients see this, or is someone specific seeing this?

 

- If you are using copy/paste to put the text into the email, try typing it manually and send test.  Convert or not?

- Try disabling MS Word as the editor in Outlook.  See instructions within this article (see section 'Microsoft Word is Set as your E-Mail Editor): KB Article 19948
