Editing fields in ACT!

I am painfully new at ACT! Trying to hit the ground running at a new job.

 

Im running Sage ACT! Pro 2013 Version 15.1.108.0.

I've tried using the editors but it to no avail.

You can modify fields in the Tools Menu and then Define Fields

 

A few different things can be changed including name, but i dont know if it will flow through to the display like that

 

Also that field is connected to a few others in the calculations so take care what you change

Backup your act database FIRST -- daily and b4 making any major changes. Using ACT! / File / Backup / Database

Use the welcome module of act! and watch the how to training videos

Do NOT change any ACT! System Fields.

Often Safer to Add New fields rather than changing existing fields.

I had overlooked it cause i thought it was asking me to lock the database. Ill have to wait untill after hours to perform this task.

Every day! Just before I joined the company 2 months ago. the previous IT had it on USB stick which was lost.
