ERROR EXECUTING DATABASE BACKUP STATEMENT

I have Sage ACT! Pro 2012 Version 14.1.108.0 on Windows 7.

My ACT! Program backup is not working.

This is what I get from the scheduler log:

Type of Event: Backup with Attachments.
Task Frequency: Daily, every 1 days
Result: Task Not Completed
Errors: Failed to log into the database. Cannot insert duplicate key row in object 'sys.syscommittab' with unique index 'si_xdes_id'.
Failed to flush the commit table to disk in dbid 7 due to error 2601. Check the errorlog for more information.
BACKUP DATABASE is terminating abnormally.
PRC_MAINT_BACKUPDB: ERROR EXECUTING DATABASE BACKUP STATEMENT

Help?!

Re: ERROR EXECUTING DATABASE BACKUP STATEMENT

Thank you!

I was really uncertain what to do when in the instructions I was directed to 4 different hot fixes, so I selected the one on top and after running the batch file until I got zero messages, restarting the computer, I was able to finally back up my database as well as finally get all the way through the Maintenance Database Check and Repair with no errors.

Thank you  so much for directly me to these instructions!

Re: ERROR EXECUTING DATABASE BACKUP STATEMENT

I tried to update Microsoft® SQL Server® 2008 R2 Service Pack 2 and got a message that there were no issues that needed to be updated. I moved to the next step, Cumulative update package 8 for SQL Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 2 and there are no instructions on how to download it. It has athe same 4 choices but when I click the box nothing happens- nothing to indicate how to download it
