I upgraded from act2008 to 2010 and now I am trying to setup my email and when I am asked to select which email program I want to use, there are NO options to select. I was using outlook2007 and would like to contimue same please..
If I follow the instructions in the kb I will prob screw up my pc?
I have duplicate VisC++ items and the vis C++ redistributable -x86 9.0.21022 is not the newst version but it was the most recently installed. 9.0.30729.17 is my newest version and it was installed a month prior for sum reason?
So why all the dups and which do I delete and reinstall? what a load of poopay. Good thiing I am technically inclined enough to be dangerous. If u dont hear back from me, that means I went dead in the water.
wait a minute- leaping lizard crap - now I read another kb artivcle that points to a possible corupt outlook profile and quite differnt story. so which is it? 2008 was working fine.
I am going to wait until I here from sum1 on this matter please.
Help please- FSB

First make sure that User Account Control in Vista is disabled. See KB Article 20220
If that does not resolve, then see the solution offered in KB Article 23426
If that does not resolve, try rebuilding preferences, per KB Article 14770
Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.

No - I am not going to run without part of my vista operating system(user accts)
I will prob just reformat my hard drive and install windows 7 and start all over when I get 2011 . Quicker.
I will read the entire knowledge base in my spare time . all these dup files now in my control panel and the possible corrupt outlook 2007. what else got hammered? corrupt all my act databases ?
no need to respond - I'm not going to inflict any more damage on this pc rite now.
Does Sage not realize the cost of shutting down peoples business's? I'm a 30+ year techy.
I get slightly ticked off when sum1 thinks so little of shutting me down. -Wish I had noticed prob sooner. I was busy.
Time to go simmer down. Miller time. Solution not accepted. I will accept Sage support calling me to fix.

for now it appears that Sage's team of top notch rocket scientist have got it working after several days. Thank you.
