Dynamic query problems

If I want to include 5 cities in my query, the ID status field and the Record manager I get cities or status or a manager not desired along with my intended target.  If I include 2 or 3 cities plus the status and manager fields it works OK.  Help anyone?

Re: Dynamic query problems

I suspect its your criteria - you would need to have the cities enclosed in brackets with OR criteria and then after the close bracket add id/status with critieria AND and record manager.

Hope that makes sense.

I've attached a sample advanced query .qry file in a zip file that queries 5 cities OR'd together with ID/Status and Record Manager. Just unzip the zip file and drop the .qry file into your My Documents\ACT\ACT For Windows 10\Databases\DATABASENAME-database files\Queries folder on your computer. (The 10 there will be whatever version of ACT! your currently running.) ACT! 2008 is version 10. Then you can open it in advanced query and edit the lines of the query to be what you want to query. Thanks.  You were very helpful.  I needed the brackets.
