Duplicating when syncing

I have a db on a parent pc running xp, I sync with a remote laptop running vista. I added a number of contacts to the parent db and when I sync with the laptop it adds all the contacts, new and old, to the db in the laptop. How can I get it to just add the new records?

Hello Konfused,
The contacts that sync for a remote depend primarily on the sync set being used. If the sync set you have is for all contacts, then all contacts will sync. If you want only new contacts, then you would have to put this criteria in the sync set using maybe the "Create Date" field (create date=today), or using a custom field that you would enter a unique value in when you create the contact, like Sync=Yes or New=Yes.
