Duplicating an Opportunity - keep Contact association

Hi

Apologies if this has been asked before but ...............

I wish to duplicate an Opportunity and maintain the Contact association.

Is there a way I can do this/

Thanks.

Re: Duplicating an Opportunity - keep Contact association

Take a look at this free ACT add-on as it looks like it will do what you are asking for.

Hi crmdata,

This is not currently possible out of the box. There may be a third party addon that could add this functionality, but I am not personally aware of one existing.

Re: Duplicating an Opportunity - keep Contact association

I gave it a try, but didn't find the duplicate opportunity under tools. The file extracted is Xact_OpportunityDuplicator.dll and copied into Act || Act for Windows || Plugins Your instructions say log in as administrator then it says close ACT. Do you have to be logged in as admin in order to use this dll?

You may need to go the Dll file and right click - properties and if you get a message authorise its use. (Is a windows thing!)
Also if you have Manage Opportunities under tools make sure the add-on is ticked.

Re: Duplicating an Opportunity - keep Contact association

I have tried the above. When I go to Tools>Manage Addons there is a red cross saying that the addon does not load properly.

I am using Act! 17 Premium. I have also gone into the plugins folder and checked the windows security

CRMData,

We will take a look next week and let you know. It is Saturday in New Zealand and a public holiday on Monday (Anzac Day)

Will post back here with the outcome. Thanks for your patience.

I removed the dependencies.xml file and reopened Act! and it worked - thank you all for your help.
