Duplicate Checking among databases

Hi everyone,

I am a new user of ACT. Does any body know how to do duplicate checking among several databases? It seems like the preference setting in ACT can only allow me to check duplication within the current database. Please let me know if you know the solution. Thank you so much.

Re: Duplicate Checking among databases

Hello dtcsnakely,
Unfortunately, this is not possible. ACT! can only check for duplicates in the currently logged in database.

Re: Duplicate Checking among databases

With all due respect it sounds like you have a serious database design problem. The ideal is to have only one database and If you do need to have more than one database there should be no reason to duplicate check between the two databases.
