Hi People
I am finding that the functionality of the copy/move data is not completely clear.
I run a check for duplicates and when i find two records that are duplicates, and i wish to combine them, I note that you have to manually copy each row from the contact field.
This is somewhat tedious as i have many contact fields.
Is there a way I can shift and select a number of rows as opposed to one by one?
Also, perhaps there's a better plugin for dupe checking and copying/combining contacts?
Anyone able to assist?
Cheers
George

George,
I would say that of all of my customers who use this function often find doing individual rows is the easiest method and once you have cleaned up your database you might only use the function of copy/move rarely so I do not see developer making that sort of change.

Hi Paul
Thanks for your reply.
I have in excess of 15,000 records of which some are duplicates.
I am trying to keep my dbase as clean and accurate as possible, but I am finding that the copy/merge function is somewhat tedious to use.
Are you aware of an add-on that allows better flexibility to:
1. Check for duplicates
2. Copy/Merge the data with greater ease?
Cheers

I've used a very good one from www.egenconsulting.com. There are three versions. The most advanced uses fuzzy searching and automated deduping.
