Downloading Update

Every time I open Act 2005, a pop-up appears to state that an update is available.  When I click on the icon, it does not download.  I would like to EITHER download the update OR have the pop-up stop appearing.  Suggestions?

Tools | Preferences | Startup tab | make sure Automatically Check for Updates in unchecked.

You should seriously consider upgrading to ACT! 2008, it's faster, has many additional features and has resolved many of the problems of ACT! 2005.

What version of ACT! do you have in Help | About?

If not 7.04, you can download the update from http://www.act.com/support/updates/index.cfm?#Other%20Updates

But, as Roy said, you really should go to ACT! 2008.
