Downloaded new ACT Pro V16 - will not create new database

I downloaded today and activated ACT Vn 16 Pro.

 

Started - selected create new database - entered all fields (used correct styles) - got the "dots" that something happening then got failed message - contact your Administrator.

 

I am my Administrator - experienced user but not techie.

 

Tried setting up databsae in defualt folder, in a different folder, with pw, without pw - all showed same error message.

 

Am using Windows 7 Pro.

 

Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help.

 

Tech support from my vendor have spent about 5 hours online remotely and nothing works.

 

Am currently looking at re-loading Windows in case it is a Windows issue.

I had this same problem, called the free support line and they remoted in. Took about 1 hour of but they got it working. Sorry I can't offer more technical advice about it.
