Even if you get the download and install v17 you will not be able to activate it due to the protexis licencing servers being discontinued, you will need to upgrade to the latest version.

This act rule is wrong! I upgraded from older version to Act V16 with serial & activation code available and to V17 with serial number given.
When I want to reload the V17 to a new computer, I cant do it and Act company wont support me.
I paid for the software and I cant use it. Act company want to force me to go to higher version which I dont need
Can this problem be solved/
isnt that very wrong for Act company to do this?

Act! Pro v17 was released late 2014. Significant changes to Outlook 2013 and later required a rebuild of integration together with the license system changing. It is unfortunate that version 18.0 is the oldest version that was included in the licensing system changes. At approximately AU$330.00 to move to version 21 I think that is reasonable although I can understand the disappointment for those people on version 17.0 on just missing out.

I have the same problem. Act company sold the program but they are not honouring the sales giving excuses. they are forciong youto pay ransom money to go to V21. Act is bad company.

Act! v17 is an obsolete version of Act! Our obsolescence policy is published very openly.

Look under the section marked "Products not supported by Swiftpage" and you will see we discontinued support for v17 on 11/30/17.
Additionally, the highest version of SQL v17 works with is SQL 2008r2, and Microsoft ended support on 7/9/2019. From a security standpoint alone I would suggest an upgrade.

Coming with excuses does not mean Act is right.
Software was purchased. Buyers should be to use it as long as they want.
When Act software was bought, there was absolutely no mention of otehr sales terms.
There was clear support for Act V6 and before. this user is happy to go back to V6 from V17 as the usage on the features are very samll.
Software producers are getting very greedy, arrogant, including Act company today.
this Act ransom/issue has been reported to Australia consumer affairs.
