Trying to get my arms around your new social networking capabilities in Act v11
As an example, I've got 15,000 contacts in my ACT DB (v10) and some 2000 contacts on LinkedIN.
Does Act v11 have an automated linking too that pulls the LinkedIN (and other) URL's/data automatically into the Act DB contact, or is that a manual linking process?

The social media in ACT! 2010 is similar (but nicer) to using this freebie in ACT! 2008 (10.0) and 2009 (11.0):
It's only a search... if you get it, change the LinkedIN search to:
You can create a field in ACT! called LinkedIN and put in the contact's key and have another URL
I am hoping that Sage will, in a future patch, will add functionality to automate this properly as I mentioned here:

Thanks for the in-depth reply. Don't see the link to the social media freebee on the blog site, but it points to LinkedIn groups, so assume one needs to request the join the group, and then be accepted, in order to get access to the link?
If not, if there another straightforward URL/website to grab the download?
BTW - do you know if ACT 2010 will have integration with Windows Mail (the successor to Outlook Express on Vista and OS 7.0...just email & contacts, not the same as Outlook)?

You should have access now.
No, Windows Mail isn't supported... I don't know if it even has an API to support this.
