Once I click on a Contact and then look at the Notes Tab, the only notes I see are for the selected Contact. Can I create a tab from within Contacts that shows all the notes for a company (same as you see when you click on Company, but from within Contact)?

That's limiting as typically you have 2-5 people per company you interface with and they all are involved in the decision process. As you call someone, with all their contact information on the screen in front of you, it would be nice to see all the company notes displayed.
It seems there is no way to see both all the company notes and someone's direct contact information simultaneously?

No, but it's only a mouse-click away... click on the company name, should link to the company record
