Detach Databases-Can't do. Lousing up computer. Please Help

The title and the follow image say it all.  I can't detach either of the bottom two databases, although they are no longer accessible (because I renamed the folder in which they are located after the trouble couldn't be resolved.)

I have tried installing and reinstalling Act.  Didn't help.  There are no Knowledgebase article addressing this issue, nor can I find any Community discussions on it.  Obviously, the error message isn't any help.

The ACT! program doesn't directly manage the databases, the SQL server does the management. In this case you can stop the ACT! instance of the SQL server and then manually delete the dtabase files useing the file manager and then restart the SQL server.

I'd do something similar to the following...

  • stop SQL and rename the folders as they were,
  • Download the appropriate version of SQL Management Studio Express, and install
  • open SQL Management Studio, detach the db's there.
  • restart,
  • then re-attach the DB's using either ACT! | File | Open or ActDiag

I did everything you suggested, but I can't figure out how to "open SQL Management Studio" so that I can "detach the db's there."    Although Management Studio appeared to install satisfactorily, there seems to be no way to open it independently.
