Deliberately Duplicate History (Batch)

Is it possible to duplicate all of a contact's history (past email and calls) either to a new account or existing?
The problem arrises when a customer leaves one company for another. We want to keep the history visible for sales reps dealing with the customer at the new company and old company.

I realize there is the option to add Contacts when you are Editing History, but that only works for one entry at a time.

In a perfet world, I would be able to duplicate a contact with ALL data (not just data fields like contact name, company, phone#).

Thanks.

Re: Deliberately Duplicate History (Batch)

Hello bmunro,
Welcome to the Sage ACT! Community. You can do this using the Copy/Move Contact Data function under the Tools menu. Instructions are in this Knowledgebase article:
http://kb.Sagesoftwareonline.com/cgi-bin/Sagesoftwareonline.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=1440...

Duplicate the contact, pull up both the original and the duplicate on the contact list, highlight both records, go to Tools > Copy/Move Contact Data, then start with Step 6 in the article.

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
