The answer to your question depends on several things... the main being: How to identify the appropriate contacts within the database?
Are the contacts already identified and in a Group? If yes, right click on the Group name and select Create Lookup.
Depending on what you want to do, you can then either delete the contacts (in bunches - not all at once), or use the Edit > Swap Field option to swap the data with a blank field (possibly 'User 10' field). This would keep the email address within the database but not accessible for sending emails (merge or blast).
Note: Always create a backup before making large data changes (File > Backup > Database).
