Define Fields

I recently upgraded from ACT 2006 Version 8 to ACT 2009

On company detail, the Contacts Tab, Customize Columns, there are many fields in the list (ex: Secondary city, Secondary State, Secondary address, and many others) > when I go to Tools/Define Fields, they are not in the list at all. Where are they and doesn't this cause an error when looking for the fields? He said this is a problem they are working on also.

None of the secondary contact fields can be changed.

I had a similar "problem" with the Fax number. The Fax number is already in use on the Personal Info Tab, which is why is doesn't show as available.

First check to see if fields you want but are not showing as available are in fact already used on other tabs.
