Default in Dropdowns


I am wondering if it is possible (in Sage ACT! Pro 2011) to have a default value that is automatically inserted into a field with a dropdown for all newly-created contacts.  


I have already inserted the value into current contacts' fields if one was not specified.  This would only be for when a new contact created--and when one is viola, the default value is already there thus making the filler-inner-person either change from the default or go with it.

Hello Sophia,
You can assign a default value for a field that will populate for new contacts this way:
- Log into database as a Admin user
- Go to Tools > Define Fields
- Double-click the field you want to assign a default for
- Click Next to get to the "Customize field behavior" screen
- Type in the default value for this field
- Click Finish, then Close

Note: All other users must log out the database in order to for you to edit fields.
