Windows 10 Act Pro 21.0.295.0
My F:/ data drive went bad. This included my two ACT databases. I replaced the drive, named the new drive to the same drive letter, and restored from the backup drive. The new drive and data seem to be fine and other things are working.
But neither of my ACT databases will open, although one of them opened once yesterday since the restore. The message is:
"The database [....] could not be accessed. In order to access this database, check your network connection adn verify that your database server is available. It may be necessary to disable any firewall software on your computer or the server."
I have temporarily inactivated my firewall to no effect.
I suspect they are not opening in SQL, though I don't know how to check that. I have included a screenshot of services.msc below.
Any help much appreciated.

Is the option to create a new database visible or greyed out? If visible SQL is running.
Rename the database .pad file to .old
Now open the database use the . ADF file
ACT will recreate a new .pad file with the correct information and the database should open.

The "Create New Database" is visible and working.
I renamed the .pad file and opened the .adf file. Unfortunately, I got exactly the same message as above.
A new .pad file was created.
