Database does not open

The database Carefree could not be accessed.  In order to access this database, check your network connection and verify that your database server is available.  It may be necessary to disable any firewall software on your computer or the server.

Welcome to the Sage ACT! Community. The most common reason for this if the database is local to your machine is that the SQL Server service is not running. Please see this Knowledgebase article for more information:
