This is my first post to this forum so please excuse if I am not following the appropriate procedures or format.
When I try to start the SQL Server (ACT7) service I get error code 214-668-5628 "Windows could not start the SQL Server (Act7) on local computer". Also the SQL Server agent (ACT 7) is not started and will not start as well with error 1068: "the dependency service or group failed to start”.
Upon using the actdiag it appears that the SQL Server database cannot be started/accessed.
Does anyone have any advice on how to resolve this?

unfortunaly you did not mention what ACT & Windows Version you are using.
if you are using a older ACT version with a new OS this might be the issue.

the most recent problem is that you have SQL2008r2 installed, and probably all SP
act2011 did only support SQL2008 (not R2) as you can see here i strongly recommend to consider a upgrade of ACT to act16, at the moment there are special discounts on upgrades, you should contact an ACC or Swiftpage, to checkout the best deal you can get.
a IT professional can sure help to make this working with act2011, but this will probably cost more, as upgrading to the most recent version

As of ACT! 2011 SP1 ACT! supported SQL 2008 R2. The issue is most likely either that the SQL service isn't started or that there is a password issue.
