Database Uniformity Issues

I have Act v 11 and cannot get the fields regarding address, city etc to convert from  all Capitals to Initial capital then lower case.I have selected the correct options under Define Fields and even after refreshing still no change. However if I right click on the field of a single contact then come out then it changes to the correct initial cap.As I have over 4000 accounts to wade through then has anyone any idea of a fix??

When you changed the field type, it should of changed it for all the contacts when saving.  Try doing a check and repair from Tools > Database Maintenance.
