Database Size Limit

Hi,

I set up two ACT databases and tried to import a separate Excel databases into each.  Both ACT databases didn't accept more than 60k files and both databases are exactly 746,496 KB in size.  Is that the limit?  If so, that's not what I was told before I baught ACT.

Thanks.

Re: Database Size Limit

It depends on the version ... if with SQL 2005 Express, the limit is 4GB, with SQL 2008 Express, it's 10GB. These apply to the ADF file only

Are you getting an error with adding more?

Thank you Mike.  I have ACT 2012.  Not sure about SQL.  One import had some errors, the other import did not, both didn't import all the records, and both files are exactly the same size.  For some reason, when I go back into them, all the companies are missing detail view.  I ran Check and repair to no avail.  T

Hard to say ... could have had some data that it had a problem with or ran out of memory. Try breaking up the Excel file into smaller pieces and see how you go
