I'm trying to connect to our database on one of our comptuers. It keeps getting the following message:
"The database <dbname> could not be accessed. In order to access this database, check your network connection and verify that your database server is available. It may be necessary to disable any firewall software on your computer or the seerver.
Press F1 for a troubleshooting guide."
I have turned off the firewalls on both the server and computer that is having the issue. I have also verified that the database is shared. I am able to get the database to load on all other computers. I can browse to the directory where the database file is located. I'm not sure why this isn't working.

What is your OS?
What is your exact version of act? reference Help / About.
How exactly are you trying to connect to db? Is it a ACT! Remote database?
Did you turn off UAC? user accounts control. Do it from your control panel.
