Data import to existing Act contacts

Hi - I have a csv file that contains a list of 100  email addresses and next to each address is a piece of data in text that I'd like to import into Act as a note for each contact.  Each email address has a different note. I've tried doing a import that merges the email addresses with the contacts in act but for some reason the data doesn't get attached. Can anyone help?

You would need an add on to do anything like that. There are a couple available, check at www.actaddons.com.

It depends... is the "note" designed to go into a field in ACT! or into the Notes or history area in ACT!?

Well originally it was hoped to be a "Note" in the Notes area, but when I couldn't get that to work, I tried creating a designated field instead - but still with no luck. Ideally I'd like it to be in the Notes section but as long as the info is saved somewhere in Act I really don't mind!
