We are using Sage ACT! Pro 2012 Version 14.0.572.0. We have two users, who both sync into the main database. One syncs offsite using vpn, the other onsite using the network.
The one onsite is the administrator & is set up as administrator. The offsite person is set up as standard.
When the offsite (standard) user adds a note (which is mostly what she does), if the same contact is worked on from the onsite (administrator) user, nearly all the fields onsite user entered into the database (sometimes this can be up to 20 fields) revert back to how it was before entering the data. This is very frustrating when a client asks to have data changed, then it reverts back as if not changed, makes us look bad.
Is there a way of fixing this?
Hope this is all understandable.
Any assistance would be appreciated!!!

The authority level of the users should have no effect on the 'winning' update. Changes synced are based on time stamps.
Does this only occur with contacts that have been updated by both remotes? Or does it happen to contacts that only the Standard user updates?
Have you tracked the changes as they are being synced? Have the Standard user update a record > sync. Does the update get applied to main database? If not, then the sync of the Admin isn't causing the problem.
Have you tested this with a new remote?

Thank you for your reply, it's very much appreicated.
Yes it only occurs with contact that have been updated by both remotes. One user puts a note against the contact the other puts data into fields, of which the data in the fields disappear after they both sync.
When the remote with the fields entered syncs it goes to the main database. But when the remote with the note for the same contact syncs somehow the data disappears from the fields.
We've had a few new remote databases each, but I'll try again.
Thanks so much!!!

Service Pack 1 for Sage ACT! 2012 addressed several synchronization issues. I would strongly recommend you apply SP1 to your main database and all remote databases. Please see this Knowledgebase article for more information:
Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
