DISABLE Remember Password

Is there a way to disable the option to remember password in Act?

I'd like to make it so some employees in house are not able to check that box off.  Or even if they do, have Act prompt for password every single time they log in

Re: DISABLE Remember Password

I do recall one of the ACT! consultants made a utility to do this a few years back... can't recall which one or if it's still available.

I might try to look it up in the next couple of days if no-one posts about it in the mean time

No solution yet.  Would be nice to find one so I can prevent the employees from creating security risks by having their computers remember the password.

Re: DISABLE Remember Password

I suspect that messing around with Windows Registry could do this... specifically permission changes to this key would prevent last user from being saved:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Act\

I recall an ACC (maybe DesignR1) had a utility to prevent "Remember Password" from being on.

You might contact them or your own ACC to see if it's available.
