DB opens no details only the toolbars

Lately when I open Act v10, my database seems like it has opened up cause I can see how many contacts I have and the toolbars but where the contact info belongs it's just gray.  When I click on any of the icons or file.  It looks like I'm clicking but nothing happens almost is frozen up.  This will happen 4-5 times in a row so I restart the program until I'm able to work in it.  Any help would be appreciated.  Ken

Do you encounter this problem in the ACT10Demo DB for example?

Can you also try changing the layout?
 
Also, can you check the version in Help | about? If not 10.0.1.199, you can download the current patch from

I really only use the one DB but the times I've tried opening the demo it seems like it works fine.  I have the latest version and I've uninstall 3 seperate times.  I use the Loantoolbox template that no one else that I know that uses it has trouble.  Loantoolbox although helpful said they haven't received any complaints that are similiar to this one.
