Is there any easy way or program I could use to see how many calls were completed, meetings were held, brochures sent out ( I have created a task could brochure) ? I really only want totals, not a whole list of all the contacts. It is to see whether we have reached our targets every week/month/quarter.

The History Summary Classic report can do that for you. While that report uses some complex Visual Basic program script, replacing placing one of the tracked history types for a custom type is fairly easy but not obvious. Adding an additiona type for tracking isn't easy. The report package I sell has both a 5-column and an 8_column version of the History Summary Classic report. I know that I can make my versions for the report summary only, I don't know if the same thing will work with the standard version.
