Customized Columns for Company Detail and for Notes

I just upgraded from Act 2006 version 8 to ACT 2009.
When on Company Detail, Contacts Tab - Customize Columns doesn't stay in place after I restart the program(I use these in the customized list of columns>Check Box "Signed Contract",Comany Name, Candidate Status, First Name, Last Name, Title, Department.)  Also when in the notes tab of Contact Detail, the customized doesn't stay in place here either (I use the following> Date, Time, Record Manager, Contact, Regarding).

Did you ever figure this out to?  This has been a problem for a long time.
