Customized Columns - Help!

I have several databases that are configured with different user fields.  When I customize columns in the Contact List for one DB1, that column view also appears in DB2.  When I change DB2 to what I want, DB1 then reverts to that column view.  I need to have different column view customizations based on my user field configuration but can't seem to get there.  Is the column view specific to my installation rather than DB specific?  Solutions to similar issues I've found here have not worked. ACT version is 2009 (11.1.183.0, Hotfix 1)

That's in the ACT! config, not the database.

Roy is correct.  Customized columns are Windows user profile specific, not database.

So to clarify, I can only work with one customized column view in ACT?
