Greetings everyone,
I have a question whether or not it is possible in Act! to create custom buttons in your contact layout.
These buttons should be used by our sales department. My supervisor intends, that if you click that button, it automatically composes and sends a predefined e-mail to the contact, that is open right now.
So the questions precisely would be:
1.) Is it possible to create custom buttons for the layout?
2.) Can we program that button to use one e-mail template, compose an e-mail and send it to the contact?
3.) If yes, how is it done?
Much appreciated and have a great sunday everyone!

I tried the Smart tasks out.
Sadly, standard emails are not automatically personalized, is that correct?
We're using Act! 20 Pro.
@Thomas_Benn-MS , a colleague of mine will send you an e-mail soon. Your presented software looks promising and we have some questions about it.

I don’t think there are any button components, but you could always create a true/false checkbox, and have the true state trigger a Smart Task to send the email.

Good morning,
We provide an Addon to Act! that provides exactly this functionality. Check out CreateEMailFromTemplate here:

Feel free to call or email us for more information.

Many thanks to both of you! Tomorrow I'll be in the Office again, then I'll have a further look into both of your solutions!
Thanks again,
Dieter
