When a person in our office is entering data into a field for a new contact in our database, the cursor often jumps to a different field without him touching the keyboard or between strokes if he is typing slowly or looks up to read the next piece of info to type in.
He then has to click back into the original field to finish entering the needed info.
FYI - Running Vista Ultimate, Act! 2008, 10.0.xxx, PC has lots of RAM.
This is a nusance - any one have any solutions on what might be happening?

Does this only happen when you first open your ACT! 10 database?
If yes, try waiting a couple of minutes before going to work on it.
I think there must be some sort of hand shaking still going on?
That's the only time our ACT! 10 does that. Give it tiime to get fully loaded and ready.

The above post may have already answered your question?
Does this happen within the first 5 minutes of Opening your ACT! Database?
If Yes, then Wait at least 2 or 3 minutes to give ACT! time to get all things in place, before going to work on it.
If this happens all the time, I do not know.

This problem is occuring often and even after you have been working in the system for sometime... I really need a solution for this as employees are starting to use it as their excuse for not using ACT!
