Creating a List Report

All I want to do is create a report that lists all the contacts that meet a certain criteria.  I want the columns to be customizable, much like the Contact List that is displayed when I do a lookup.

 

Every report template that I bring up prints 1 contact per page and what I want is a list.

It would all depend on the report template design. That would not be a difficult report template to create.

Well, is there a report template you would have me look at as a starter (preferred) or is there info someplace on how to do one from scratch?  I look at the report writer doc and it sure is not obvious.

You might try looking at the Phone List report template.

 

I will agree the report editor is not obvious. Any database report generator is effectively a programming language and require practice to get the most out of the reports. There are some Knowledge Base documents on the report generator but no comprehensive manual.
