I am looking to create a graph from Act that simply displays how many products were created in each month, so for example along the bottom of the graph I would have the names of the months and each bar would show the total number of a product created in that month.
Is this possible with Sage Act! Pro 2013?

Can you give me more info such as example? What is the nature of the business/industry? What kind of products?
Since Products are a part of the Opportunities, you could start by using Reports option
Reports / Opportunitiy Reports / Opportunity Graph and Pipeline.
There are other opportunity reports / by Product.
You may find it useful to use Opportunities / Lookup / Advanced Lookup ( select dropdown Type = Opportunity Product )
You may also be able to use Histories Reports or History Look ups to obtain data and perhaps export it to excell for Graphing.?
Just guessing here. FSB

The business produces and sends out various quotes to construction companies, in our version of sage we have assigned these different quotes as products, so when we set up an opportunity on sage we assign the type of quote we have sent out as a product to the opportunity.
I am interested in a way to display this information so that we know how many of one type of quotes have been sent out each month, the idea being that we can see which quote is more popular by the months, so then we may see a pattern or if more quotes are going out this month versus the same month last year.
The pipeline allows me to see how many opportunities need following up or are in progress etc, The graph lets me see which opportunites are Open, closed etc.
With some editing I can rearrange the order to group opportunites by their products and open date, which can then be transferred to Excel and used to graph, but that is a long way round. Other reports generally give me worded data.
Was just wondering if there was a graph as opposed to worded report, similar to those presented at the dashboard, that would show number of products and more so show them by month.

Quotes is not my area of expertise. Sorry.
I would consider creating your Opportunity before generating quote? Add the Product while creating the Opportunity.
New Opportunity for each Quote?
Seems that would get you a lot closer to being able to generate your charts? You would then be able to at least export a lookup to csv then generate charts from that using excell?
Also recommend looking at the ACT! Add-on's from www.act.com Durkin Computing ? The ACT! Add-on Store etc..
Possibly a addon could be found at www.exponenciel.com FSB
