Re: Could you share selected data with other users in the same company?

ACT! does have the ability to control access to contacts by making them Public (all), Private (record manager only), or Limited Access (selected users).

What data specifically are you trying to share?

What are trying to accomplish?

Re: Could you share selected data with other users in the same company?

Thanks Greig!

We're trying to share the contacts from one company database, and some of the notes in there, but not all of the notes.

For ex. if everybody is using and updating the same db one could see the notes someone else left, and call or not call a contact.

Does that make sense?

With Notes, History, and Activities, the only option to hide them is to make them Private (there is a checkbox on the botton of the screen when you open the item). When these items are marked Private, then only the Record Manager of the item can see them. This would have to be done 1 item at a time or at the time to item is created. So, in your case, any Notes, History or Activity item that you do not want anyone but the Record Manager of that item to see, you would check the "Private" box for.
