About 10 days ago my Act Pro 2013 on a Windws 7 Home Premium (64 bit) machine using a local, single user database quit working.
The Act instance of SQl Server wasn't running and couldn't be started because the log fille was corrupted. I don't remember the exact details. The machine was running SQL Server 2008 R2 and I wasn't able to repair it.
I was able to successfully install SQL Server Express 2012 and I tried to create an ACT7 instance, but Act still doesn't connect with SQL Server.
My Act Pro 2013 was a download upgrade from Act Pro 2011, so I don't have installation disks, but do have the download file on my computer. Can I reinstall the progaram and reestablish the connection? If not, what is the fix?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Sounds like your SQL install is damaged. If you are not using MS SQL for anything other than ACT!, I would remove all instances of SQL and reinstall SQL using the ACT! installer. If the SQL component will not install using the normal ACT! installer, a manual install of SQL will be necessary.
See the following ACT! Knowledgebase article on this:
