I know this may sound like an elementary question, but here goes.
I want to stop traveling with a computer between my offices in the midwest and nyc. I have computers I use at both locations.
How do I copy a database to a thumb drive and transfer the current version of my database to the computer I am using and then take it back to my home office computer the same way?

You can't run the database from a thumb drive, the database must be located on a local drive. You could make a backup and do a restore as on the other computer but you would have to give the database a new name each time. In your case I would recommend synchronization and use a hosting service to hold the database.

Thx Roy. I knew I would need to do that at some point.
What about making a copy of the db to my decktop, attaching it to an email, sending it, copying it to the new desktop, and then would I do a restore or import on the new computer?

Typically too large to email. Also you would still need to do the Restore As and give it a new name.
