I am getting a message that I cannot access my database and that it may be necessary to disable any firewall on my computer or the server. I have been told that I do not want to ever disable my firewall - also I have no problems in accessing the database with the old ACT software so I am confused. I was able to convert the database to my local drive and access the new "pad" database. Then i copy the local folder to the server and tried to open and got the message regarding the firewall - which is the same message if I try to convert the old database on the server back to the server. (Simple shared network) - The server drive is totally shared and I even "shared" the old database nd new database folder separately.
Any suggestions would be appreciated as we need to be able to share the database

If you moved the location of your database it is no longer attached to SQL. You can verify this in the diag.
