Converting from 4.0 to 2007 error "...database external component has thrown an exception"

Converting database from 4.0 to 2007 and have done suggested steps (copy old, actdiag maintenance, etc...)

Here is the error:

Conversion has been halted with the following message:

External component has thrown an exception.

Here is the error details:

Updating database...

An exception occured changing the schema.  Your previous ACT! database

External component has thrown an exception.

Any ideas?  I can convert other 4.0 databases ok.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Converting 4.0 to 2007 error "database external component has thrown an exception"

There is some kind of internal damage to the database that can't be fixed using the database maintenance or ACTDIAG. You will likely need to use an ACT! database repair service. http://www.act.com/support/databaseservices/databaserepair/
