Converting Upper-Case to Proper-Case? HELP!

I've used ACT! form many (10+) years and import data that is all upper-case. One program I've used called ACT! Propercase Converter, converted the database automatically to propercase. It worked in all previous versions of ACT!.

The program no longer works for ACT! 2008.

Is there a way to convert (uppercase to propercase) a database or lookup within the new version of ACT!?

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

ACT is not able to convert text from upper to proper case out of box.

I would recommend searching available addons through the ACT Addon Solutions site to see if there are any compatible with 2008.

You're data can be fixed outside of ACT! then brought back in but this will not affect notes and history and the process would be tricky.

You might use the field type of Initial Caps for future data.

I went to test this and got a series of error when changing it on a field with data... not sure why and only put in the type of effort to check when I'm paid Smiley Wink

But if you back up your data and change the field type to Initial Caps, then hopefully future imports won't need the extra work
