Conversion Problem

I have a trial version and am trying to convert a data base and keep getting this error. "The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "NOTE_CREATEUSERID_FK". The conflict occurred in database "StudleyACTSD", table "dbo.TBL_ACCESSOR", column 'ACCESSORID'

I cant seem to get this to work...any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you in advance.

Re: Conversion Problem

Have you done data maintenance on the ACT! 6.0 database?
Compress/Reindex
ACTDIAG - Maintenance

You should run both before doing a conversion

I also recommend running RedFlag to highlight any other issues

Re: Conversion Problem

Thank you.  I will try that.  I have compressed and reindexed but have not run the ACTDIAG.  Redflag might be my next step.  Have you ever seen that error before?

Re: Conversion Problem

No. Not that specific error.

You might also try converting the demo database and see if that works

Re: Conversion Problem

You got the same error with the demo data base?

Hmmm.... I'd maybe try an uninstall and re-install. Something obviously isn't right

Re: Conversion Problem

Ok... then it's definately a database issue and might require a repair first.

RedFlag is usually the best place to start with this.
